Five Things Friday is my way of sharing a little bit of life old-school blogging style. Things that are making me happy or challenged or thoughtful. Photos from daily life (and the iPhone). Recipes, recommendations, randomness, etc. Enjoy!
If red and green and gold are the colors of Christmas, the colors of winter are blues and whites and icy sunlight. Leaning into the beauty of each season is one of the ways that I cope with winter (also, Vitamin D supplements).
I love that I made a whole list of "indoor local winter activities" after Christmas break... and then snow happened and we just stay home alot, play in the snow and get hit by Nerf darts (3 boys - ages 4-9 - there are alot of Nerf guns in our house). With that being said, Discovery Space and the indoor playground at Harvest Fields are the favorite things right now!
The algorithm served me up some winter content and now I'm fully invested in seeing how these Canadians build an ice dome over at the Adventure Kids IG!
Back in the day, I was a coffee shop person. Now I'm a make-the-coffee-and-drink-it-at-home person. But having delicious roasted coffee beans makes all the difference and thanks to a nice Christmas present, we've been enjoying some locally roasted Rothrock coffee!
There's a big birthday boy in the family this week! Whitaker turned SEVEN and I am in awe that my little baby Whitaker is now a big soccer-playing, snowman-building, hilarious, enthusiastic and energetic seven-year-old!
